De Forest\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/901253800?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p>Perry Alfred De Forest, kanadischer Abstammung, schloss sich 1887 unter dem Einfluss seines Onkels, des Evangelisten George Albert King, den Adventisten an. 1887 wurde er zum ersten Mal Mitglied der Adventisten. Nach einer Ausbildung zum Krankenpfleger in Battle Creek, Michigan, studierte er Medizin an der Universit\u00e4t von Cincinnati. Er war bis 1895 Mitarbeiter von John Harvey Kellog. Mit seiner Frau und seinen beiden kleinen T\u00f6chtern reiste er 1895 nach Basel, dem Sitz der Adventisten in Europa. Mit seiner Hilfe wurde das Sanit\u00e4tsinstitut zun\u00e4chst in Basel gegr\u00fcndet und Anfang 1896 er\u00f6ffnet. In Verbindung mit diesem Institut gab es auch eine Fabrik f\u00fcr gesunde Lebensmittel und eine Krankenpflegeschule f\u00fcr M\u00e4nner und Frauen.<br\/><em>&#8222;1904 wurde ein 35 Hektar gro\u00dfes Grundst\u00fcck am Ufer des Genfer Sees in La Ligni\u00e8re, Waadt, auf halbem Weg zwischen Lausanne und Genf erworben. Einige der Geb\u00e4ude auf dem Grundst\u00fcck wurden schnell umgebaut, um den unmittelbaren Bedarf zu decken, so dass das medizinische Institut und die Krankenpflegeschule im Juni 1905 von Basel nach Gland verlegt werden konnten. Dr. De Forest behielt seine Verantwortung, aber da er ein Ausl\u00e4nder ohne Schweizer Diplom war, wurde ein anderer Arzt rechtlich verantwortlich gemacht. Die Einrichtung in Gland erhielt den Namen &#8222;Sanatorium du L\u00e9man&#8220;.<\/em> <br\/>(nach einem Artikel in der Seventh-Day Adventist Encyclopedia.  <br\/>Es geh\u00f6rte zusammen mit der PHAG-Fabrik der Philanthropischen Gesellschaft von La Ligni\u00e8re.<br\/>De Forest wird als Pionier der adventistischen Gesundheitsreform in Europa angesehen.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die PHAG-Fabrik<\/h4>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:20% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/adventrail.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/img_0508-de-forest-phag-produits.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-270 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Nach dem Umzug von Basel nach Gland im Jahr 1905 wurde die Fabrik f\u00fcr gesunde Lebensmittel PHAG genannt. Dies bedeutet urspr\u00fcnglich Hygienische Lebensmittelprodukte Gland. Der Begriff &#8222;hygienisch&#8220; wurde in der Praxis schnell durch &#8222;di\u00e4tetisch&#8220; ersetzt. Es handelte sich um die erste Di\u00e4tfabrik in Europa.<br\/>PHAG Slice, Sojanelle und PHAG Aroma haben die Geschmacksknospen vieler von uns verw\u00f6hnt.<br\/>Urspr\u00fcnglich war die Herstellung auf Hafermehl und Haferkekse beschr\u00e4nkt. Sp\u00e4ter wurde sie Vertriebsh\u00e4ndler f\u00fcr Kellogg&#8217;s Spezialit\u00e4ten, Granose Kekse und Getreideflocken.<br\/>Diese Institution arbeitete unter der direkten Aufsicht der EurAfrican Division. Inzwischen hatte PHAG seine T\u00e4tigkeit eingestellt und wurde 1994 verkauft.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entstehung der Adventjugend<\/h4>\n\n<p>Auf der Sitzung der Generalkonferenz in Gland im Jahr 1907 beschloss die Generalkonferenz, eine Abteilung speziell f\u00fcr die Jugend zu schaffen.
